About the Brand
NEVER MID comes from everything I consumed growing up, geography, and culture combined. Hip Hop in the late '80s, Baltimore's '90s rave scene, old D.C. punk shows, graffiti, skateboarding, comic books, street art, DJ culture, turntablism, and Indie Hip Hop. None of it followed the mainstream; it carved its own paths in society. That's kind of where I come from too.
Never Mid is more how I move through things these days, by putting real care into what you do, whatever that looks like for you. Show up for your craft, your people, your style. Not because it has to be a big statement, just because it's worth actually meaning it.
That's the thinking behind the clothes too. I want each piece to hold up, to last, to feel like it means something, to say something about you without trying too hard. I'd rather make things slower and get them right than chase this week's style. There should be nostalgia in the feel of the material.
This is for the artists, skaters, DJs, writers, musicians, creators, collectors, anyone who's living it and carving their own lane.
Real Threads for Real Heads.
Because culture isn't something you buy into. It's something you build.
About the Drop
Est. 1996 — 30 Years Strong
Founded by MK Skillz in 1996, Sinister Sound Crew was never just about the DJs, the artists, or the names on the flyers. From day one, the vision was bigger than that.
The Crew was built on the belief that a true collective is made up of everyone who contributes to the culture. The artists who brought the music. The people who showed up week after week, bringing the energy, and keeping the dance floor alive. The people behind the scenes who put in the work to make sure the doors opened, the music played, and everyone had a place to come together.
Every one of those people was part of the crew. No one element was more important than the other. Without all of them, the crew would never have been a whole.
Thirty years later, that philosophy hasn’t changed.
This anniversary drop is a tribute to everyone who was part of the journey. To those who were there from the beginning, those who came along the way, and those who continue to represent the crew as we move into the future.
It’s about more than remembering the past. It’s about recognizing the people, the friendships, the music, and the culture that made these last 30 years possible.
To everyone who ever rode with us, supported us, worked alongside us, or carried the spirit of Sinister Sound Crew forward, this one’s for you.
